The BEST rug I've ever made (so far.)

I found this picture of Michelle Trachtenberg.  (I was a big fan of "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer")  She's so beautiful, and her face seemed to lend itself to my art.  I picked a picture out, this one:

And... after I did my magic to it, and slaved at turning it into a rug masterpiece... this happened:


Some of my older posts in my blog here go into more detail of the process, but for now, lets just say... I make a graph, assign some coloured yarn to each "pixel" and then knot the yarn into a canvas grid until there's a complete "Heirloom handmade wall hanging rug".  Hope you like my art!

  1. It's pretty darned impressive. We had one of those kinds of rugs when I was little. No idea who got it started, but I started working on it, put in an hour here and an hour there, got it maybe 1/3 of the way done before giving up on it. Lotta work for such a small thing.
